Royal Enfield – the oldest global motorcycle brand in continuous production

Not many people knows that Royal Enfield is “the oldest global motorcycle brand in continuous production”. This brand has British roots, brotherhood with popular BSA and today’s Indian ownership which rescued company from bankruptcy. The new Royal Enfield Himalayan is a new born babe made for real adventurers who dreaming about exploring wildest, highest and coldest places on Earth-Himalays Mountains. I had to try myself!

Only me and my rented Royal Enfield, we spent two weeks in Ladakh region riding together 1300km, trough all the highest passes with altitude over 5000m a.s.l. trough the deserts, mountains, rough roads in every weather condition like heat, rain, wind, low temperature and snow. What I can say about this motorcycle? It is like the best buddy, the little hero, the pugnacious kid. It never let me down. Fuel consumption about 4l / 100km. Fantastic off-road capabilities. Not to bad on the road. It is like the best buddy, the little hero, the pugnacious kid. It never let me down. Comfortable enough on the road. Light, neat, ergonomic with many interesting additions. Well made. I recommend mostly for novice motorcycle travelers, ladies and for everyone as daily commuter.
